What kind of payments do you accept?
Through Pay Pal, we are set up to receive payments via credit card, e-check, &/or directly from your Pay Pal account. You don't have to have a Pay Pal account to do business with us. However, when checking out, you will need to choose Pay Pal as your method of payment if you don't have a Pay Pal account but want to pay with a credit card. Just follow the directions when it directs you to the Pay Pal website. It should have a button where you can click on for a "Guest Checkout" for those that want to pay with a regular credit card. For international orders, please note that we can only take International credit cards.
We will also accept a personal check or money order (FOR US ORDERS ONLY!!!) but PLEASE NOTE that we cannot send your order until the transaction clears which can take up to 2-3 weeks from the date you mailed off your payment. This is true as well for e-checks sent via Pay Pal.
How long is your current TAT? (Turn around time)
Orders are currently being processed within 24-48 hours and then shipped out. Depending on where you live, you may get your order within 5-8 days from placing your order. However, any orders placed late Friday will not be processed until Sunday evening at the earliest.
I don't see my country listed on your International list? When will you be adding my country?
We have started adding countries as they are requested by our customers. If you do not see your country listed, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Unfortunately, we will be unable to ship to Italy & Mexico due to postal issues/regulations. Unfortunately, we may also have to remove any countries that are having postal issues such as lost packages or extended Customs hold-ups.
What is the shelf life of your minerals?
The shelf life of our minerals are indefinite. The biggest problem in keeping them from expiring is whether or not they come into contact with liquids/moisture which can encourage bacterial growth. Make sure to keep them in a moisture-free area and if any kind of liquid does come in contact with them, to be aware that the shelf-life may have been compromised.
Make sure when you are foiling your pigments or using the wet, flocked sponge method of applying your foundation, that your dampened applicator does not come in contact with the jar or minerals but that you have a separate mixing palette or bowl.
I personally recommend not keeping a product more than two years if you are uneasy about the shelf life. It is part of the reason we keep the jars in the smaller sizes, esp. blushes and eyeshadows because a little goes a long way and it is more fun to experiment with lots of colors!
I am overwelmed. How do I pick the best foundation color?
Email us at email@example.com and we'll send you more info and/or walk you through the process OR go to our blog to this post about "Finding A Foundation Match" http://definingtruebeauty.blogspot.com/2008/09/finding-foundation-match.html
Are your swatch photographs pretty accurate?
The colors were adjusted to best match what you would see in person. However, due to the variances in computer monitors, what you see may not be completely accurate.
If you are unsure about a color, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or try an inexpensive $1 (this includes your shipping!) to make sure.
There are two "halves" on the close-up swatch photos? Can you explain this?
The closeup swatches show the minerals as they look in the jar (left side) and how they look swatched onto a white sheet of paper (right side).
This is done for the benefit that some minerals look completely different when blended and applied. The side that was swatched on a white sheet of paper can show you how sheer or pigmented the color is once blended.
For example, Trustworthy eyecolor seems to lighten by a few shades while Tenacious eyecolor stays pretty close to what it looks like in the jar!
When will your REAL website be up?
It is unsure at this time. Because we are constantly adding new products at this time, it has hindered the efficiency of getting the real website up. We want to be able to adjust adding/removing items and are currently on the lookout for a better website builder format that will allow for that. We just want everything to look as professional as possible so that our website also reflects the same high quality and elegance as our products do.
Why don't you make/sell concealer? Or lip producs?
The formulator and owner of adorned with Grace Minerals(TM) prefers to use the foundation itself, due to its higher coverage formula, to conceal any blemishes or uneven skintones. She found that most colored powdered concealers didn't work for her, and it is just as easy using the mineral foundation to do the trick. That's not to say it may never be produced. We're just waiting for the right formula that would be worthy of selling. **A neat trick you can do if you need a concealer is to get a sample bag of a foundation color that might be a shade or two lighter than what you'd wear on your entire face. This helps to conceal any imperfections more opaquely!
As far as lip products, some of that is actually in planning and testing stages. Just stay tuned for any updates.
What ingredients do you use in your products?
The ingredients are listed when you click on each item's description, just read on down. They are very specific to each product since many of the eyeshadows and blushes vary in ingredients. This is done for your convenience so you know exactly what you are getting with each and every product!!! Please also note that we DO NOT USE the following items: Bismuth oxychloride, talc, dyes, ferric ferrocyanide, cornstarch, or any micronized ingredients.
I bought something from your T123 store (Testing123)/got a sample from a friend, but I don't see it listed?
You may need to go to our blog and check out the posts for August 2008 (www.definingtruebeauty.blogspot.com) and see where we changed the names. There is an explanation there you can read on the reason why we did that. Also, some colors may have been tester products that did not pass our Consumer Panel voting as we only like to release popular colors. But do let us know if there is one particular color that you happenned to like and we can help you find one that may be similar!
What is your Shipping charge for International orders?
Currently, our shipping prices are as follows: Orders $20 and under, $2.00 USD; $20.01 to $50, $3.00 USD; $50.01 to $100, $4.00 USD; and order $100.01 or more, $5.00 USD. However, you'll notice that right now Ecrater will automatically charge $5 (possibly more) for your order even if you ordered much less. Unfortunately, the shipping matrix does not allow for our Shipping Rate Chart **BUT** we will make sure to adjust/refund the amount as your order is being processed. If at anytime we make an error and/or do not adjust your shipping charge, please email us at email@example.com to let us know ASAP.
How do I know my order has gone through?
First, you should get an email from Ecrater with your Order # as well as the confirmation on items you ordered, total price, and shipping address/contact info. Then, you should get an email from PayPal noting that your payment was received. If you are paying with a Money order or Check, we usually email you to verify this as we only check our P.O. Box when we know there is an order with a check on the way. If you do not get an Ecrater notification, you may need to check out again or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to check. If you do not get a PayPal Payment confirmation, you may need to email us (at the email above) and we can resend you the Invoice. Usually, if we catch that the payment did not go through, we resend you a link. If we do not hear from you within three days of the notification, we simply delete your order from the system.
Are your brushes "Cruelty-Free?"
Yes, they are! We have confirmed with our brush suppliers that they are cruelty-free. In fact, our Premium Line of brushes are 100% vegan and assembled here in the USA! (Except the Premium Kabuki and Mini Dual Ended Eyeshadow brush which are made in China).
Will you start carrying the samples in jars? Baggies are such a pain!!!
At this time, we cannot carry our samples in jars because they: 1) Take longer to fill and we have very limited staff on hand; 2) Cost more--try 10-20x more expensive!-- to buy and being a small company, we are still watching our budget; 3) are much bulkier and we have very limited space in our storage area. We provide the samples mainly so you can see the color in person without having to commit to a full size since we do not allow returns on our products.
Will my package have tracking?
**For U.S. orders ONLY**: Sample baggie orders $4.99 or less, there will be no tracking as we usually send that in a notecard/envelope. But for all other U.S. orders, you should get a tracking number from PayPal as your shipping label is generated. If you don't get one, email us at email@example.com and we'll resend it to you. **For Canadian & International orders**: Because our shipping system only adds tracking with USPS Express and that is $23-25 at least! We ship all International orders via USPS First Class and, unfortunately, no tracking is available for that. But that is what allows us to charge the minimal shipping that we offer. You are welcome to pay the extra difference if you want to add the tracking but unless your order is over $75, it may not be worth it for you.
